A proven global performer wasted no time stamping his authority on the 2026 PDC Asian Tour, with Haruki Muramatsu delivering a flawless double by winning both opening events of the season in Dubai.
The five-time World Darts Championship qualifier emerged unbeaten across the opening weekend, collecting maximum points from the first two tournaments and immediately establishing himself as the early pace-setter in a long Asian Tour campaign.

Two tournaments, two trophies, total control

Muramatsu opened his season by lifting the first title after a tight 5–4 victory over fellow Japanese player Motomu Sakai in the final, edging a closely fought decider to get his year off to a winning start.
He returned then with an even stronger statement. In the final of Event Two, Muramatsu swept aside Altantulkhuur Myagmarsuren by a 5–1 margin, producing a dominant performance that left little doubt about his command of the tournament.
The second event underlined his consistency as well as his ceiling. Muramatsu recorded heavy-scoring wins through the latter stages, including a convincing semi-final success against Phuay Wei Tan, before closing out the title in emphatic fashion.

Early advantage in a 28-event season

The PDC Asian Tour consists of 28 ranking events across the calendar year, with results feeding directly into qualification pathways for major international tournaments, including the 2027 PDC World Darts Championship at the Alexandra Palace next December. Securing both of the opening titles gives Muramatsu a valuable early cushion at the top of the standings as the tour continues, and sends an early statement of intent to his rivals.
Further events are taking place in Dubai this week, before the circuit later moves on to destinations including Kuala Lumpur and Ulaanbaatar. But after the opening weekend, the tone has already been set.
Two events. Two wins. The Asian Tour is underway, and the early benchmark has been laid down.
