Scott Mitchell went all the way from one point in the Q-School Order of Merit to winning a Tour Card outright on the final day in Milton Keynes.
Mitchell, a former Lakeside World Champion defeated Danny Baggish in the final who himself had an incredible run as well as the likes of Alan Norris, Graham Usher and Andrew Gilding en route.
Despite playing ProTour all of last year and by his own admission potentially not living up to his billing by not being on the tour, he was shocked to win through.
"It's massive, honestly," said Mitchell. "I know I should be there but how does that happen, I'm a farmer's kid from this little village in the New Forest - this isn't normal for us! We're more worried about who's feeding the horses."
"They know me as Scotty the tractor driver, and I just keep trying to be me. You don't win BDO/WDF World Championships without anybody getting a dart at you if you're not good. I'm just so pleased - today I've been in tears."
