Joe Cullen has swept aside Wessel Nijman in an emphatic 3-0 sets win and he stormed out of his press conference in an angry show of emotion from 'The Rockstar'.
He accused the media of hyping Nijman up too much and causing his downfall and that he wasn't shown any respect going into the tie.
He answered one question aside from the PDC and then said that because he wasn't shown any respect, he wouldn't give the same courtesy to the media and promptly said he was going home and walked out. After a tumultuous 12 months, Cullen produced a superb display somewhat out of nowhere and ahead of facing Gerwyn Price seems hell bent with proving the doubters wrong.

"Over the moon. I thought I played some of my best stuff. I'm happy," siad Cullen post match.
"I'm 30 places ranked above him, I'm not proud that was expected to happen. I'm happy with the performance, I don't know Wessel personally. I think the surrounding and the media led to his demise. I was so up for the game."
"I've struggled this year on the oche and off the oche. So to find a performance like that. I've got you guys to thank because I don't think I would've played like that if I didn't read some of the nonsense I read beforehand."
"The media attention that Wessel's got again this is not a reflection on him. He's been caught up in a few things beforehand but he's served his time and he's held his hands up like a lot haven't. So I think the way I've been treated with the media, you guys have no control of the bookies."
Before he promptly walked out not answering any further questions. "I've been shown no respect, so I won't show any respect to any of you guys tonight. I'm going to go home."
