From 3 to 5 March, the
UK Open is on the calendar. The 16 qualifiers are now known.
In recent weeks, Riley's Qualifiers were completed all all over England. In these, amateur players could seal participation in the UK Open.
In the end, sixteen players managed to qualify for this first PDC major of the year, which traditionally takes place at Butlin's Minehead Resort. Besides 15 Englishmen, American Danny Lauby also managed to secure a place.
Richardson and Littler
Perhaps the most notable name is that of former Tour Card holder James Richardson, who reached the last 64 at the UK Open in 2015 and 2017. Barely 16-year-old Luke Littler, the current world champion with the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC), may make his debut at the UK Open early next month.
