Contrary to recent years, the event is not played in Blackpool but in Milton Keynes. Due to the corona measures still in force, it was decided to play the tournament behind closed doors. While fans are not allowed to attend the event, the TV camera's from Sky Sports Darts are welcome to make sure there will be TV coverage of the World Matchplay for the darts fans.
It all begins this Saturday with five first round matches which will be shown starting on Sky Sports Action at 6pm and shifting to Main Event at 8pm.
The same happens until Tuesday when the first round concludes and we start the second round, it will be solely shown on Sky Sports Action from 6pm.
Sky Sports Action will continue this for the rest of the second round and Quarter-Finals but with later times of 7pm for Wednesday and Thursday.
Both Action and Main Event will show the remaining Quarter-Finals on Friday with the Semi-Finals being shown on the same channels from 8pm on Saturday. Sky Sports Action will show the final from 8:30pm on Sunday to conclude the tournament.
