Gary Anderson has been crowned the 2025 European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen, emerging victorious on the European Tour with an 8-0 whitewah victory over Andrew Gilding in the final on Sunday night.
Earlier in the evening, Anderson had edged past Martin Lukeman 6-5 in a tense quarter-final, producing a classy 15-darter in the decider. He then turned on the style against Dirk van Duijvenbode in the semis, averaging over 106 and reeling off five straight legs to seal a 7-2 victory.
Gilding meanwhile, has been clinical all weekend and backed that up with two dominant wins on finals night. He swept past Peter Wright 6-1 in the last eight, capitalising on Snakebite’s struggles on the outer ring, before overcoming Luke Woodhouse 7-3 — sealing the deal with a 160 checkout along the way.
In the final itself, Gary Anderson produced a dominant display to claim the 2025 European Darts Grand Prix title, whitewashing Andrew Gilding 8-0 in a one-sided final in Sindelfingen.
The Scot punished a string of missed doubles from Gilding — who squandered 13 darts at a finishing double — and raced through the match without dropping a leg. Highlights included a brilliant 141 checkout to move 4-0 ahead and a clinical 15-darter to extend his lead.
Anderson’s relentless scoring and sharp finishing saw him comfortably wrap up back-to-back titles at this event, capping off a superb weekend of darts.
