As we only come to the end of February,
Gary Anderson has taken just 15 matches to register 10 ton-plus averages so far for the season.
Anderson has raced out of the blocks so far in 2024. 'The Flying Scotsman' took the title at Players Championship 2, defeating Ryan Searle in the final, then reached the final at the next event - only to lose in a rematch to his friend and practice partner.
Since 2018, no player had taken this short amount of time to reach such a milestone, with
Jonny Clayton holding the record before. 'The Ferret' hit at least 100+ average on 16 occasions at this point in 2021 - the year he won four televised titles. The signs are looking good so far for Anderson.
It's no surprise to see the other names on the list, with Rob Cross achieving the feat twice (17 games in 2018 & 2019),
Peter Wright after coming off a second World Championship triumph in 2022, and despite Anderson taking the headlines on this occasion,
Luke Littler continues to take the darting world by storm as he has taken 20 matches to reach double-digits on the 100+ mark.
