Darts manufacturer Winmau has expanded their team with darter
Leonard Gates. At Winmau, 'The Soulger' becomes a teammate of
Michael van Gerwen and
Vincent van der Voort, among others, who are also under contract with this arrow supplier.
Gates has mostly made a name for himself on the senior tour in recent months, where he won two televised tournaments this year. He also represented the United States at this year's World Cup of Darts.
The 52-year-old native of the U.S. state of Texas is very pleased with his sponsorship deal. ''I'm excited to sign with Winmau. Winmau is the largest manufacturer in darts and I am excited to be a part of that in the future."
Gates will be back in action on the senior circuit next weekend. Then he will compete in the World Seniors Darts Matchplay. Gates will play Colin McGarry there in the first round. If he wins, John Henderson or David Cameron awaits in the second round.
