Germany has become the country with the second most players on the European Tour as of this weekend at the European Darts Trophy albeit they have a long way to go until they reach the numbers of England who are top by a long way.
England top proceedings with 183 since the inception of the European Tour and continue to add to their tally. Germany have added three more this weekend so sit in second ahead of Netherlands with 81 as per TheRedBit180.
The gap though to the others is pretty marked as Austria are the next big country to follow on somewhat surprisingly given who is behind them in fifth place only just. That being Belgium who of course still have Mike de Decker and Dimitri van den Bergh.
As well as a myriad of Tour Card holders including Kim Huybrechts and Mario Vandenbogaerde. Also traditionally they have hosted multiple European Tour events a year including recently in Wieze.
Czech Republic follow on with 17 with Gibraltar unsurprisingly with 16. The country previously held a European Tour until 2023 right from the outset of the events. But times have since changed and while more events are added no place has been given back to Gibraltar.
Hungary, Wales and Scotland finalise the list on 16 and 15 themselves. The latter two of course are one of the only countries out of England not to host a regular European Tour and so it is mainly their top flight players such as Gary Anderson, Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton.
Germany's status is perhaps obscured with the country hosting most of the European Tour events so have the most churn of new players by default due to Host Nation Qualifiers but still it shows their status as a powerhouse darting nation.
This weekend Germany will become the country with the 2nd most players on the Euro Tour.
