After a close shave in their opener at the
World Cup of Darts, Germany are into the Quarter-Finals with ease on home soil in Frankfurt after both
Gabriel Clemens and
Martin Schindler sealed their singles ties.
They will now face Wales tomorrow in the Quarter-Finals after defeating Denmark pairing Vladimir Andersen and Andreas Toft Jorgensen comfortably.
Andersen offered the only flourish in his tie as he made it 1-1 with a 110 checkout but Schindler swept him aside from there with the Dane only hitting 1/5 on his doubles compared to 4/10 and a 93 average from 'The Wall'.
While it was a similar display for Clemens who saw off Jorgensen 4-1 with a 93 average, 4/7 on his doubles and two 180's compared to 1/8 from his opponent on the outer ring.
Jorgensen's only leg came in the opener as he produced an 84 checkout on the bull but in the short format, missed chances were pounced upon and 'The German Giant' sailed through to the final point for his country.
