The 2025 Premier League Darts continues this Thursday night in Cardiff, where Welsh darter Gerwyn Price makes his appearance in front of his own crowd. Price arrives back home in excellent form too, having earned his second weekly victory of the season last week in Nottingham.
With victories over Stephen Bunting, Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler, he added another triumph to his previous success on the third night of play in Dublin. On the seventh night of play at Utilita Arena, the former world champion will take on current world number four Rob Cross in the fourth quarterfinal of the evening.
Price has fond memories of Cardiff: exactly a year ago he defeated Cross in the same city and reached the final of the evening. This time he hopes to shine again in front of his loyal home crowd.
“I’m not looking any further than the game against Rob,” declared Price in quotes to the PDC ahead of tonight's darting action. "I think Rob is probably playing some of the best stuff he’s ever played, so I know I have to be on my game."
Despite his ambition, Price remains down-to-earth and focused. “To win the night in Cardiff and give a little bit back to the crowd that have always supported me would be amazing, but I’m fully focused on my opening game," he concluded. “I want to keep this run going. The best part of my game at the moment is that I’m enjoying it, my mentality is right and I’m feeling more confident than I have for a while.”
