Christopher Kempf, in charge of all kinds of statistics and data at the PDC, has brought out a striking new statistic.
For example, Gerwyn Price appears to be most accurate on double 12. Price threw to this double a whopping 222 times in 2023 and 2024 and hit just under 50%.
Double twelve represents less than 5% of all finishing doubles in darts, but its importance to the game is still quite significant. After all, more than 80% of the successful nine darters in history (for which the route is known) have resulted in a double 12 finish.
