Luke Littler managed to take the title at the
Belgian Darts Open on Sunday night. The 17-year-old prodigy was the best at the first
European Tour tournament of the season after a spectacular final session.
Littler won 6-2 over Jermaine Wattimena in the quarterfinals thanks to an average of 110. Then "The Nuke" settled with Ricardo Pietreczko (7-3), who angrily walked off the stage because he did not like the finishing routes used by his English opponent.
The final between Littler and
Rob Cross was an absolute cracker. Cross threw an average of 108, but that proved not enough for the title. Littler, who also threw a nine-darter in the final, took the win 8-7.
