Christopher Kempf, responsible for all kinds of data and
statistics at the PDC, produces an alternative world ranking every month. This takes into account only the last 200 legs played by each player.
In that alternative world ranking,
Gerwyn Price is in first place. That is quite remarkable since the Welsh former world champion is only sixth in the official world rankings. Price averaged 99.69 in his last 200 legs, threw a score between 171 and 180 73 times and scored 42.78% on his doubles.
In second place in this alternative world ranking we find Luke Littler. 'The Nuke,' ranked 25th in the official world rankings, averaged 98.74 in his last 200 legs and scored 42.04% on his doubles. The teenage sensation will take a shot at a first PDC major next week when he contests the Premier League Darts playoffs. The top three is completed by Luke Humphries. The reigning world champion, ranked number one in the official world rankings, averaged 98.44 in his last 200 legs and scored 39.16% on his doubles.
Chris Dobey sits fourth with an average of 98.28 with 41.20% on his doubles over the last 200 legs with Martin Schindler rounding out the top five. Usually a who's who of who is in form, it also features many names with recent success.
Including Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall, Stephen Bunting, Gary Anderson and Michael Smith who all round out the top 10 respectively.
