The first round continues at the
European Darts Open with the conclusion of the afternoon session in Leverkusen.
Andrew Gilding and
Krzysztof Kciuk have made it through to face Brendan Dolan and Ryan Searle after claiming comfortable victories over Lukas Wenig and Keane Barry.
Gilding after recently making it to a ProTour final has been in superb form as of late and showed that against Wenig.
He hit four 180’s and a high checkout of 121 during a 6-3 win over the Host Nation Qualifier.
While for Kciuk, he pounced on a poor doubling effort from Barry to sail through also in a 6-3 victory.
Barry squandered 13 darts at doubles in losing out to ‘The Thumb’ in a result which may come as a shock but it is the Polish ace who moves on.
