Gary Anderson delivered a stunning performance Tuesday afternoon in the first round of
Players Championship 5 by throwing a nine darter in his match against Ryan Joyce.
The perfect leg came in the tenth leg of the match, at a time when Anderson was trailing 4-5. The Scot managed to complete the
nine-darter via two consecutive 180 scores, followed by an impressive 141 finish.
Despite the deficit, Anderson eventually managed to decide the game in his favour. In the deciding leg he threw a 16-darter, winning the match 6-5. For Anderson it was the eighth time he threw a nine-darter at the PDC.
