From Tuesday, November 5 to Friday, November 8, 2024, the Europe Super League will be held in Halle 39 in Hildesheim. Here, 30 players from German-speaking countries will compete to secure the coveted ticket to take part in the World Darts Championship.
The tournament begins with a group stage, which will be played in round robin on the first two days of the tournament. The top three players in each group will advance to the knockout phase, which will be played on Thursday with the round of 16 and Friday with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The last place in the round of 16 will go to the best fourth-placed player in the group.
In the round of 16, the group winners play the third-placed team from another group and the runners-up from one group play the runners-up from another group. The quarter-final matches and the semi-finals are played according to the tournament tree.
Group 1 has an interesting draw. It includes Dragutin Horvat, who made a positive impression on the Challenge Tour in 2024, Liam Maendl-Lawrance and Franz Rötzsch. Nico Kurz is also in this group, but this is the only group in which there is no PDC Tour Card holder.
Lukas Wenig is a Tour Card holder in Group 2. He will take on Dominik Grüllich, Arno Merk, David Jeske, Michael Hurtz and the Austrian Patrick Tringler.
Max Hopp is in a group with Michael Klönhammer, multiple NEXT GEN finalist Leon Weber, Sascha Stuhlemmer and Jannis Barkhausen. Another Tour Card holder, Pascal Rupprecht, can also be found here.
Kai Gotthardt, Paul Krohne, René Eidams, Marcel Gerdon, Patrick Klingelhöfer and Christopher Toonders make up Group 4, while Group 5 is made up of Daniel Klose, Andree Welge, Steven Noster, Kevin Troppmann, Pascal Wirotius and David Schlichting.
