Gurney and Durrant set to face off in first Quarter-Final at International Darts Open

The first Quarter-Final at the International Darts Open in Riesa has been confirmed with Daryl Gurney set to face off against Glen Durrant.

Gurney saw off Steve Beaton in a high quality 6-5 victory with five 180's, 75 percent on the doubles and a brilliant 102 average as he aims to carry his form through to the final session.

He will have to get past Durrant though who impressed on the scoring himself with six 180's en route despite his woes on the doubles which saw him miss 20 against Michael Rosenauer who couldn't take advantage.

The disparity was shown in the average with 79 playing 92 and despite knowing he will need to play better to defeat 'Superchin', Durrant is once again into a Quarter-Final on the European Tour.
