Gurney books convincing win against Van der Voort, Whitlock battles past Webster in Hungary

Daryl Gurney has booked his place in the second round of the Hungarian Darts Trophy after a convincing 6-2 victory over Vincent van der Voort.

Gurney's scoring power was too much for Van der Voort. The Northern Irishman hit four 180's, while his Dutch opponent was not able to hit a maximum score. It turned into a 6-2 win for Gurney, who finished off in style with a 12-dart leg.

We also see Simon Whitlock and John Michael in the second round on Saturday. Whitlock was too strong for Darren Webster (6-4), while John Michael triumphed against Steve Beaton after a deciding leg.
