Gurney eases past stablemate Rafferty with superb 105 average, De Zwaan comfortably moves past Borbely

The first round continues at the Hungarian Darts Trophy with no shocks so far as Jeffrey de Zwaan and Daryl Gurney have moved through to Saturday's action.

De Zwaan eased past Host Nation Qualifier Andras Borbely 6-2. He immediately got off to a good start against the Hungarian qualifier and took the first two legs. Borbely held on until 3-2, but then De Zwaan won three legs in a row, good for a 6-2 win and a duel in the second round with Rob Cross.

While in a battle of stablemates with both under the MDA team, Gurney eased past Nathan Rafferty 6-1 to move through in a sublime display from 'Superchin'.

The Northern Irishman produced what could be the performance of the day by the end of tonight's evening session as he hit a 105.3 average and 60% on the doubles to storm into the second round where Michael Smith now awaits.
