Daryl Gurney will have his head shaved next weekend at the Champions League of Darts, it has been revealed after his donation total was reached.
Gurney is doing it for Cystic Fibrosis Care after his best friend Aaron McMenamin passed away in January 2017; having had the condition since birth and the Northern Irishman wears a necklace with his photograph on.
He set the total at £10k in
July for him to complete it at the event in Leicester which takes place next weekend and the likes of Barry Hearn and his darts manufacturer Winmau all chipped in to get it over the line.
It has been revealed that it will be completed after his evening session match at the Morningside Arena; he has extended the total to £15k which if reached will mean everyone who donates will get a signed picture and the chance to win a match worn shirt at the event.
