Hamilton, Brown, Newell and Lauby through to Quarter-Finals on Day One at PDC UK Q-School

We have a Quarter-Final line-up on Day One at PDC UK Q-School with Andy Hamilton the stand out name still involved at Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.

Hamilton edged past Adam Hunt in a scrappy 5-4 win which saw 'The Hammer' average 86 and he will now play a very dangerous player in Jason Lowe who averaged 91 in defeating former Players Championship finalist, Peter Jacques.

American ace Danny Lauby also continues his charge defeating World Masters star Carl Hamilton in a 5-2 victory and in one of the stories of the day, he will take on Steve 'Bomber' Brown who admitted after his win in the previous round that he is using his son's darts and is here to more support him.

He has only gone and reached the Quarter-Finals showing that in the case of the former ranking winner, class is very much permanant.

Also joining them in the latter stages are the likes of Tony Newell, Robert Collins, Ryan Murray and Gary Blades as we get towards getting our first two UK winners of the weekend.
