Here's why Luke Littler may not compete on the PDC Development Tour for now

From February 23 to 25, the first tournament weekend of the PDC Development Tour is scheduled. Reigning World Youth Champion, Luke Littler will not be here, as "The Nuke" is not allowed to compete due to certain PDC rules.

The Development Tour is open to youth players ages 16 through 23. In terms of age, the 17-year-old Littler is still eligible to play, but his ranking on the PDC Order of Merit is bothering him.

Indeed, the PDC prohibits players ranked in the top-32 of the world rankings from participating in Development Tour tournaments. In this ranking, Littler is currently in 30th place. Moreover, there is a very good chance that the English teenage sensation will only rise even more in the coming years.

Thus, there is a good chance that Littler will not be allowed to compete in tournaments on the PDC Development Tour for the next two years. However, Littler will be allowed to compete in the PDC World Youth Championship at the end of the season.
