Damon Heta is a PDC ranking winner after victory on Day Two of the PDC
Autumn Series against
Joe Cullen 8-4.
Heta who has had to miss in particular the PDC Summer Series due to COVID Travel Restrictions has been one of the top performing players when he has played in the Players Championship series and has added to his TV title last year at the Brisbane Darts Masters.
As well as victory over Cullen, 'The Heat' earlier today saw off both Michael van Gerwen and Joe Cullen. As well as Ross Smith, Martin Schindler and Stephen Bunting in the latter stages en route to the title.
Both players went on throw in the early going with some real flourishes including Cullen taking out a brilliant 154 to level at 2-2.
Heta though went 4-2 up with a 121 checkout but still couldn't establish daylight until he went 6-4 up with the first break of throw of the match.
In such a close tie, this meant that the fine margins were there for any player who would claim this break and as a result, Heta went 7-4 up and towards the finishing line.
He concluded it with a superb 120 checkout as he added to his brilliant victory in Brisbane last year in his first full year as a PDC Tour Card holder.
