Heta continues run at Brisbane Darts Masters with brilliant win against Anderson

Heta pounced on missed doubles aplenty from his opponent who was a shadow of the player who smashed Corey Cadby yesterday. He had to survive late pressure though from 7-4 up with nerves getting the better of him but he finally completed the job to set up a semi-final with Simon Whitlock.

To begin the tie, Anderson missed darts at doubles from leg one; with Heta pouncing to hold throw and taking out 60 in the process.

Anderson replied to hold throw; but Heta continued his good start by moving 2-1 ahead holding throw again.

He regained the lead at 3-2 and then the turning point happened which saw Heta go into a 4-2 lead; with Anderson hitting only 2/12 on the doubles. 'The Heat' lived up to his nickname turning up the pressure on Anderson by going 5-2 up with a brilliant 103 checkout.

Anderson finally stopped the rot but still trailed 5-3 and Heta just extended the lead further to 6-3.

Heta went on the verge at 7-4 up to potentially continue a brilliant story at the first of three World Series events down under; but he missed two match darts to win 8-4 with Anderson missing multiple darts at a five checkout.

'The Heat' got to Heta in what would be his biggest win of his career and he missed further darts leaving Anderson to pounce and to go one behind.

Anderson missed even more darts at doubles; Heta didn't make another mistake and hit double four with his last dart in hand to claim a brilliant win.
