Heta reels off six straight legs in superb comeback win to seal Players Championship 26 title against Van Duijvenbode

It is a second title in the last three tournaments for Damon Heta as 'The Heat' produced a superb comeback win to down Dirk van Duijvenbode and claim Players Championship 26 in Barnsley on Friday evening.
Heta came from 4-2 down reeling off six straight legs to add to his recent Gibraltar Darts Trophy triumph as well as seal his second ProTour title of the season with an 8-4 win alongside a 103.5 average.
After being broken, Heta missed a dart to break back from 110 and Van Duijvenbode sealed a 2-0 lead. ‘The Titan’ missed droves of darts to break again before Heta finally got on the board on double five at 2-1 down.
A 180 and double 18 saw Van Duijvenbode make it 3-1 and hold again. Heta held on double 18 himself for 3-2.
Once again though, Van Duijvenbode kept him at arms length hitting 137 and then double eight for 4-2. But Heta finally broke at 4-4 and was throwing to lead for the first time which he sealed.
An 11-darter saw another break for ‘The Heat’ at 6-4. A superb 93 checkout for back-to-back 11-dart legs saw Heta go one away at 7-4. He pinned double seven for an 85 checkout and the title.
