Highest average for Ryuta Arihara on second day EU Q-School

The second day of the first phase of EU Q-School was completed in Kalkar on Tuesday. In addition to the European players there, players from outside the United Kingdom will also hunt for a Tour Card.

The highest average on the second day was for Ryuta Arihara. The Japanese player beat Jody Tobback in the last 32 with a 5-1 average of 107.93. Arihara then went down 5-4 to Paul Krohne in the last 16, but is almost certain to qualify for the final stage of Q-School;

In second place of highest averages we find Jitse van der Wal. The Dutchman was 5-0 too strong in his opening match against compatriot Martijn Schoenmakers, achieving 101.55 average. Van der Wal eventually ended his run in the last 32 after a 5-3 defeat to Patrick Tringler.

The top three is completed by Ron Meulenkamp. In the last 64, 'The Bomb' defeated Jiri Brejcha 5-1 with an average of 101.15. Meulenkamp then confirmed that good form by reaching the last eight to secure a spot into the final stage of Q-School.
