Highest averages at PDC Challenge Tour 16-20: 'The Sniper' hits with highest average

Last weekend was the fourth tournament weekend of the PDC Challenge Tour. Events 16-20 of the season were played in Milton Keynes. Here Connor Scutt managed to throw the highest average of the weekend.

During Challenge Tour 20, Scutt threw a 111.98 average in his fifth match. 'The Sniper' won 5-1 over Daniel Ayres with two 12-darters, two 13-darters and a 15-darter. Scutt produced a total of four ton-plus averages last weekend. The Englishman also threw averages of 103.98, 101.84 and 100.95.

Jimmy van Schie and Wesley Plaisier also accounted for multiple ton-plus averages during the five Challenge Tour tournaments. Van Schie produced the second highest average of the weekend with an average of 108.95. Van Schie, who won Challenge Tour 18, also threw averages of 102.95 and 101.55.

Plaisier, winner of Challenge Tour 19, managed to throw averages of 102.51, 101.03 and 100.65. Christian Kist also provided a ton+ average. The former Lakeside champion averaged 101.44 during Challenge Tour 20. Kist also managed to win that tournament.

In addition, Conan Whitehead (102.95 and 101.55), Martin Grearson (102.95), Darryl Pilgrim (101.55) and Joe Croft (100.20) also managed to throw averages above 100 average during the past Challenge Tour weekend.

The final four tournaments of the Challenge Tour season will be played on November 2-3. The winner of the final ranking gets to compete in the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Darts Championship, while the number one also receives a PDC Tour Card for 2025 and 2026. The number two also receives an invitation to the World Darts Championship and also receives a Tour Card for the next two seasons.
