"His bubbles burst? No it hasn't" - Colin Lloyd responds to doubts of Luke Littler's lack of Premier League wins

After eight days of play, Luke Littler has yet to win a matchday in the 2024 Premier League Darts. However, former finalist Colin Lloyd has no doubts about the 17-year-old Englishman.

Littler already managed to reach the final once in his debut Premier League Darts campaign and is currently sitting fifth in the standings. Just outside the top four, who after 16 days of play, qualify for the playoffs.

"I wouldn't panic about it at the moment," Lloyd said in conversation with Sky Sports. "He's been doing absolutely everything since his World Championship run. It makes you think to yourself, has he had a bit of time to sit down, relax, take everything in and regroup. So I think his break from Hildesheim Players Championship was a very mature thing to do."

On social media, some people are already beginning to doubt Littler. "His bubbles burst? No it hasn't," 'Jaws' responds dismissively. "At this moment in time I'm going to give his performances a B. He'snot won a night yet but he's still doing some stuff."

Littler will take on Luke Humphries on Thursday in Belfast, in a repeat of the World Cup final. The winner will meet the winner of the duel between Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen in the semifinals.
