The first round continues at the German Darts Grand Prix with Max Hopp and Madars Razma booking early wins on Saturday evening.
Hopp who famously won a European Tour four years ago this week will look to evoke memories of that this week in an important year for Tour Card survival.
A run this week wouldn’t do those hopes any harm as he saw off Alan Soutar 6-4 in a tough opener on paper.
While before that, Razma took out Kim Huybrechts in the opener to proceedings hitting a 150 checkout to seal it and the Latvian who has again showed flashes of brilliance this year heads into the second round.
