Gerwyn Price lost out to Nathan Aspinall 6-3 on the 11th night of action in the Premier League Darts. But despite wearing orange, Price was not a fan of the venue and offered a scathing criticism on social media post match.
Price said that he hopes that the PDC look at alternative venues with a breeze seemingly to blow on the stage. He is not alone as it has been an issue in the past which Michael van Gerwen has complained about direct to PDC Chief Executive, Matt Porter.
Price seemed to change his throw after the first few darts and admitted on socials that he was on a hiding to nothing after the opening few legs. 'The Iceman' is well in the hunt for the top four but admitted some things were more important than that tonight.
"Gutted for myself, gutted for everyone that supports me. I'm so sorry but this week was pointless and we move (on) to next week. Darts were blowing everywhere and after leg one which was lucky I knew it was pointless," said Price on Instagram.
"Where I was in the league after vital points it's not what I wanted. Hopefully PDC will now stop coming here and look for alternative venues. Not good for the players, not good for the fans and not good for people that like a bet."
"Onto next week where we get to play in decent conditions."
That next week for Price will be the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool for Night 12 as Aspinall moves on tonight in Rotterdam.
