Grand Slam of Darts 2025 prize money explained - how much can Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price win?

The Grand Slam of Darts is one of the prestigious tournaments on the PDC calendar, both in terms of level and prize money. From Nov. 8 to 16, 32 players will compete for a total of 650,000 pounds in prize money in Wolverhampton.

Since its inception in 2007, the event has been part of the PDC calendar. In the beginning, the prize fund had a value of £300,000, with £80,000 for the winner. In subsequent years, the prize pool was increased several times, and in 2019 more than half a million pounds was distributed for the first time. Since 2022, the total prize pool has been £650,000.

All 32 participants in the Grand Slam of Darts are guaranteed 5,000 pounds, which is the amount for the player who finishes last in his group. The player who finishes third in his group will receive 8,000 pounds.

The top 16 players receive increasing prize money. The players who reach the last 16 receive 12,500 pounds, the quarterfinalists receive 25,000 pounds. The semifinalists can look forward to 50,000 pounds. The losing finalist gets £70,000, almost half the winner's prize. The eventual winner of the Grand Slam of Darts goes home with 150,000 pounds.

In addition, players who win their group receive a bonus of 3,500 pounds. Since 2015, the tournament has been a ranking tournament, meaning the prize money won counts toward the PDC Order of Merit.

The 2024 edition marks the 19th time the Grand Slam of Darts has been held. Phil Taylor is the record holder with six titles, while Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price were victorious three times each.

Other winners of the Eric Bristow Trophy include Scott Waites, Raymond van Barneveld, Luke Humphries, Michael Smith and Jose de Sousa, who each won the tournament once. In 2024, Luke Littler went home with the title by defeating Martin Lukeman 16-3 in the final.
