What is the PDC Pro Tour?

The Players Championship forms a major part of the PDC Pro Tour — a series of floor events open exclusively to Tour Card holders. In 2025, the circuit features 34 events played across several locations, including Wigan, Rosmalen, Leicester, Hildesheim, and Milton Keynes.
Each Players Championship features 128 players. The line-up is primarily made up of PDC Tour Card holders. If a spot becomes available due to withdrawal or absence, it is filled by the highest-ranked players on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit.
The tour began this year in Wigan on 10–11 February and will conclude at the same venue on 29–30 October.
These events are not just about prize money — they are critical in the race to qualify for the sport’s biggest televised tournaments. Performances in the Players Championships contribute to qualification for the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, and the World Darts Championship. Furthermore, they serve as the sole route into the prestigious Players Championship Finals.
