The Women's World Matchplay 2025 is set to take place on 27 July 2025 with the top players from the PDC Women's Series battling it out on the Winter Gardens stage. It features the top eight players on the one-year Order of Merit based on earnings from the PDC Women's Series.
The winner receives qualification for the 2025 Grand Slam of Darts and 2026 PDC World Darts Championship. As well as ÂŁ10,000. Gemma Hayter and Kirsi Viinikainen will make their debuts at the event and will face Fallon Sherrock and Beau Greaves in the first round, the latter is the defending champion having defeated Sherrock 6-3 in the 2024 final.
Sherrock won the inaugural edition of the Women's World Matchplay by defeating Aileen de Graaf 6-3 in the final. From there Greaves has won it two years on the spin and will be favourite for a three-peat. The tournament will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Main Event with the coverage coming from the British broadcaster from the Winter Gardens.
As well as the broadcast partners in the UK, it will be shown worldwide on DAZN and Viaplay as well as for other countries on PDCTV. For Australia, USA and other countries without a broadcast deal aside from the UK, Germany, Australia and Switzerland, it will be shown on PDCTV. To access that a subscription is needed which costs ÂŁ49.99 a year or select passes can be bought for a day or for the month to be able to watch this tournament.
The format sees the Quarter-Finals being best of 11 legs, while from there it is best of nine in the semi-finals going into best of 11 in the final from there on out. The winner will scoop ÂŁ10,000 while the runner-up claims ÂŁ5,000. For reaching the semi-finals, it is ÂŁ2,500. While for reaching the Quarter-Finals/first round so getting to Blackpool in general it is ÂŁ1,250. The action kicks off at 13 BST (14 CET) on Sunday afternoon and it can be watched wherever you are.
