Luke Humphries is close to entering the top-16 in the world rankings after winning the German Darts Grand Prix. Cool Hand Luke passed Nathan Aspinall and is now number seventeen in the world.
The difference to Ryan Searle's sixteenth place is still 15,000 pounds. There are no changes in the top-16 of the world ranking. Damon Heta, semi-finalist, at the Euro Tour tournament in Munich, makes his top-20 debut. He is now twentieth and continues his brilliant year.
Heta lost in the semi-final to Martin Lukeman, who reached a PDC ranking final for the first time. His jump was small as he rose from 74th place to 72nd place.

Besides Lukeman, Wesley Plaisier also surprised at the German Darts Grand Prix. The Dutchman managed to reach the quarterfinals with victories over Jim Williams, Joe Cullen and Dirk van Duijvenbode. This put him in place 115 in the world ranking but he doesn't have a Tour Card so can only gain through reserve ProTour spots or future European Tour spots.
