Humphries coasts past Kantele, Clayton defies double trouble to seal Larsson win at Nordic Darts Masters

The first Quarter-Finalists are set at the 2023 Nordic Darts Masters with Luke Humphries and Jonny Clayton starting the night well for the PDC representatives in Copenhagen.

Humphries cruised past Marko Kantele to begin proceedings with a 6-1 win including a 98 average for 'Cool Hand Luke'. The Finn began in style with a 120 checkout but was broken in the third leg by Humphries who eased to victrory from there.

He nearly completed it in style with a 161 checkout but still sealed the deal and could find himself in a tie with Michael Smith next who plays Darius Labanauskas.

While Clayton could face Rob Cross as he defied double trouble to seal a 6-3 success over Daniel Larsson in the second match of the session.

With a checkout percentage of 22 percent (6/27), 'The Ferret' missed quite a few doubles. Still, the Welshman was fairly comfortable against the Swedish ace who couldn't take advantage.
