Vintage performances from Van den Bergh and Price see both secure quarter-final spots at the Nordic Darts Masters

Both Dimitri Van den Bergh and Gerwyn Price have advanced into the quarter-finals of the PDC Nordic Darts Masters after comfortable victories in Copenhagen.

With the match kicking off with an electric start, a Van den Bergh maximum was responded to in kind by Madarz Razma before the Belgian made it three straight 180's to begin the match. Van den Bergh would claim the opening leg but missed darts at double in the 2nd and the 3rd would allow Razma to get the advantage early on.

Finishes of 130 and 56 regained control of the match for Van den Bergh and from there it was all about the Belgian number one who ran out a 6-2 winner with 4 180s and a 101.95 average to secure his quarter-final spot and keep his hopes of back-to-back Nordic Darts Masters titles alive.

Former World Champion and World number one Gerwyn Price entered to his customary chorus of boos, a 13-dart opening break of throw soon quietened the hostile atmosphere somewhat.

Clearly a different quality of player than the young Dane Benjamin Reus is used to competing against, Gerwyn Price was at his most ruthless, running out a 6-0 winner to set up an enticing quarter-final clash with Dimitri Van den Bergh.
