Humphries eases past Aspinall as Van Duijvenbode into another European Tour semi-final after Clayton win

The first semi-final is set at the Belgian Darts Open with top seed Luke Humphries set to face Dirk van Duijvenbode in which could be the tie of the round in Wieze.

Van Duijvenbode is into his third European Tour semi-final of the season after victory over Jonny Clayton 6-4.

A 132 finish and a 13-darter gave 'Aubergenius' a 3-1 lead. The next three legs went to Clayton, but then it was Van Duijvenbode who threw out 60 for 4-4.

After Clayton missed two opportunities at 5-4, Van Duijvenbode also hit 25 to move within one leg of the win. He then finished off the job with a fine 12-darter.

While to start the night, Humphries averaged 96.7 and hit three 180's in an accomplished display to end Nathan Aspinall's weekend.

Humphries has yet to win a European Tour this season after his dominance last year but is still producing some solid form as of late so tonight could be the night.

Albeit 'The Titan' now awaits to continue his progression.
