Michael Smith came from 6-3 down to win 10-7 at the European Championship in another match that delivered but not for Luke Humphries who lost out and he was gutted on social media post match.
But also was not a fan of the German crowd who Humphries said made the task 'even harder'.
"Gutted to lost there. Felt like I was playing well and had the game to go on a win, then I just couldn’t find a thing, the crowd got on my back and booing when I’m going for doubles makes the task even harder," said Humphries on social media.
"It’s shame as me and Michael both don’t want that for each other. But it is what it is, happy with the run I know that I’m capable of so much more than I’ve shown though! Can’t wait to get back home to my family now who I’ve hardly seen the last 3 weeks."
