The PDC Women's Series concluded for 2022 with Lisa Ashton and Beau Greaves finishing inside the top two and as a result sealing PDC World Darts Championship spots in December.
It will be Ashton's fourth appearance at the Alexandra Palace losing in the first round each time, while she has also of course played and won the BDO/WDF title four times and played at the World Seniors this year.
While for Greaves, she will go from playing and winning the WDF version in April to the bright lights of Ally Pally after previously missing 12 events to start the season. This put Fallon Sherrock in a near insurmontable position until the Queen of the Palace decided to play in the World Series instead and this in turn saw Greaves win eight tournaments on the bounce.
But while Sherrock won't seal a World Championship spot through this route, the Grand Slam spots have been won by Ashton and Sherrock who will play in Wolverhampton in a few weeks after the latter won the Women's World Matchplay.
Speaking of, out of 8/20 tournaments on the road to Blackpool, it is currently Greaves, Ashton, Sherrock, Mikuru Suzuki, Aileen de Graaf, Katie Sheldon, Lorraine Winstanley and Deta Hedman in the spots. What a potential line-up that is.
