Kim Huybrechts and
Krzysztof Ratajski are the first players through to the second round and set to face the seeded players at the
World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam.
Huybrechts has been in some great form recently including to qualify for the tournament which returns to the AFAS Live this year.
He surged past Michael Smith who himself won a title in the last lot of Super Series with his scoring proving more potent as he hit a 98 average including five 180's despite pinning 6/21.
While Smith's scoring power was only limited to three 180's and a 90 average as he sat at 30% in heading out. Next up will be Peter Wright tomorrow.
While for Ratajski, it will be a bumper tie with second seed Fallon Sherrock who of course had her brilliant run at the Nordic Darts Masters.
Also coming bang on form after a dominant PDC Women's Series but Ratajski will hope his steady nature will see him derail any hopes of victory over 'The Queen of the Palace'.
Steady was just what he was against Gabriel Clemens as he averaged 93 with two 180's to win 6-3.
A late rally came from Clemens who was 4-2 down but Ratajski diminished any hopes of a comeback with an 18 and 14 darter with Clemens sitting on finishes both times.
