Huybrechts 'satisfied' with start to 2022 season: "If you make it to the last sixteen four times out of five, you've made a good start"

Kim Huybrechts has started the new PDC season very well. In the first four Players Championship tournaments, The Hurricane reached the last sixteen three times and Huybrechts also reached this round at the International Darts Open.

"I am very satisfied with my first month", Huybrechts confirms to Nieuwsblad.be. "If you make it to the last sixteen four times out of five, you've made a good start. I find that very important. I did miss some chances to get further, but so be it.

But with the current form of the 36-year-old Belgian, it seems like a matter of time until Huybrechts will get further in the tournaments.

"I have confidence in it. If I can keep this up, then the quarter-finals, semi-finals and maybe even a final will follow. I just performed very consistently. I lost 6-1 to an impressive Wade (last weekend at the International Darts Open), that can happen. It is more frustrating to miss opportunities and lose 6-5."
