Huybrechts scolded by wife of Peter Wright after he tries to surprise young fan with video message from idol

Kim Huybrechts had a good weekend in Wigan, including two Euro Tour qualifiers, but his mood was disrupted by the apparent behaviour of Peter Wright's wife.
Players are allowed to bring a guest to the Pro Tours. Huybrechts wanted to bring a 10-year-old boy, who celebrated his 11th birthday on Monday, to see the behind closed doors action. But that was not possible. ''(His) dad forgot his id (and) wasn't allowed in'', said the Belgian.

Huybrechts wanted to surprise the boy in a different way. He wanted Peter Wright to record a video message. His wife, however seemingly made it clear in no uncertain terms that Snakebite was not going to cooperate.
However, the tweets later disappeared from his channel. ''Sorry everyone had to remove my tweets.. was getting a very clear message…. Of course I do as I am told…. ''
One day later, the two-time major-finalist came out with a new message. ''Wanna make something clear, it was my intention to give a young kid a nice birthday. It’s never my intention that people use abusive terms towards anyone, and I would like to state I don’t support any form of abuse ! No matter what the situation is!''
She looks like a real dragon and I have heard and seen IT mouthing off and swearing at someone else previously, she is nothing anyway. Oddly Peter seems so much different. Not a fan of Huybrechts, but I bet that kid is no longer a fan of Peter and probably actually speaks better English than her.
How bad is that she should apologise to that young kid .how would she like it if that happened to one of her kids disgrace to darts suppose to be a family game . She wants to remember where she comes from. Interesting to see what reception she gets when she appears in the next darts tournament 🤔

- I agree. There needs to be a points system and preferably just a rolling one year. World Championship should earn the most points though it can be argued that the current qualification system does see a fair few players qualify from regional country qualifiers who would struggle to hold down a place on the Pro Tour. If prize money won is going to remain as the determining factor for ranking then the World Championship should just consist of the 128 Tour Card Holders. Another option would be to take the World Championship out of the rankings and have it as the stand alone pinnacle that you qualify for by winning certain tournaments or your ranking position, sort of like a GSOD+.Mysstree05-04-2025

- obviously littler has the potential to surpass everybody simply because nobody has been this good at this age before, but people who think he would be any kind of favourite right now against prime taylor in a big final have short memories. it's obvious that prime taylor wouldn't win as many world titles if he was playing today, but there's also good reason to believe he'd be winning more than anybody else. hell, his statistical profile still stands alone in darts history and he might statistically be even better if he was playing today with better equipment, larger beds, more competition therefore more motivation, etc.colt24-03-2025
