Stephen Bunting secured his maiden World Series of Darts title with an 8-4 win over Gerwyn Price in the final of the 2025 Bahrain Darts Masters. Just under a year since his first major title in the PDC, he once again made January his.
Becoming a fans favourite and the ultra consistent version of 'The Bullet', he proved to be like his walk-on song Titanium as he shook off the Price challenge as well as producing a near 112 average against Chris Dobey.
The record was short lived as just 23 minutes later, Price averaged an incredible 115 to defeat the newly crowned World Champion Luke Littler 6-2. It was a second World Series final over a decade since his first in Sydney back in 2014.
A part of the elite from this season with Premier League and World Series, he owed it to his new found confidence as well as hypnotherapy as his hard work has truly paid off this weekend in Bahrain. He's bulletproof and is Bahrain champion for 2025.
“What a lovely trophy this is,” exclaimed Bunting. "Coming off the back of making the semi-finals at the World Championship, I came here full of confidence.
“I am playing the best I have ever played. I’m more consistent than ever before and now I’m believing I can win titles.
“The hypnotherapy behind the scenes, the psychology in the past, it’s taken a lot of hard work."
“I can’t produce my best darts without these wonderful crowds,” added the reigning Masters champion.
“Wherever we play – whether it be Bahrain, Germany, the Netherlands or back home in the UK, the fanbase that I’m building at the moment is crazy.
“From feeling down in the dumps to becoming the world number five is an incredible feeling, and hopefully the only way is up!”
