Beau Greaves created a landmark moment in Leicester by becoming the first woman ever to hit a nine-darter on the PDC ProTour, delivering perfection during her second-round victory at Players Championship 6.
The historic leg, achieved against Mensur Suljovic, represents a breakthrough within the ProTour environment and a defining milestone for women’s darts under the PDC banner. “I couldn't wait to tell my dad, even though I knew he'd be watching it!” Greaves admitted after completing the flawless 180-180-141 combination.
The 22-year-old produced the perfect leg in the third leg of her clash with Suljovic. While the moment itself will live long in the memory, the challenge was far from over. “It was hard to get back into the game after I'd hit it, I was shaking afterwards,” she revealed. “It was nerve-wracking but I managed to get the win in the end!”
Greaves held her composure to edge out the Austrian 6-5 before her run was ended in the last 32 by Scotland’s David Sharp. The victory ensured the historic moment came within a winning performance rather than a fleeting highlight.

The ProTour barrier broken

Women have struck nine-darters in PDC competition before. Fallon Sherrock achieved perfection on the Winmau Challenge Tour in 2023 and has hit a televised nine-darter on the Modus Super Series.
However, no woman had ever produced a nine-dart leg on the PDC ProTour itself, the weekly Tour Card battleground that forms the backbone of the professional circuit, until Greaves in Leicester.
“It's nice to be the first woman to hit one on the PDC ProTour, I'm glad it was on the stream as well,” she said.
The distinction matters. ProTour floor events feature the full Tour Card field and offer one of the most demanding competitive settings in the sport. Greaves’ achievement therefore stands as a breakthrough within the highest regular tier of PDC competition.

A strong start to life on tour

The nine-darter is the headline, but it forms part of a promising opening stretch to Greaves’ first full season as a Tour Card holder.
She has already shown her capabilities with strong runs in the opening six Players Championship events of 2026 and currently sits inside the top 30 on the Players Championship Order of Merit, reinforcing that her impact extends beyond a single historic leg.
“I'm enjoying my start to life on the PDC ProTour,” Greaves said. “I've been struggling in patches with a bit of tension in my throw, but I am playing well and enjoying it. You're playing the best players in the world so if you lose a game, it's just a case of your opponent playing better than you on the day.”
Those comments underline the broader trajectory. The perfection in Leicester was historic. The composure to finish the match was significant. And the steady accumulation of ranking money suggests this was not a novelty moment, but another step in establishing herself within the ProTour landscape.
