Luke Humphries lost out to Stephen Bunting who fell to Michael Smith on Sunday afternoon in the Quarter-Finals of the 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship.
Humphries reflected on social media and said he didn't feel right all tournament but that he won't dwell on this defeat.
"Hugely disappointed with my performance last night, and the whole tournament to be honest," he said on social media.
"I haven’t felt myself in this years World Championship, as you can tell by the way I’ve played sorry to all my supporters and people that backed me to win that it didn’t go as planned, or how I wanted it too."
"But this is what darts is all about, you have highs and you have lows. And this year has given me some amazing highs that I will build on next year lots to look forward to, and I won’t dwell on this tournament that’s for sure!
"We move onto next year with a even more positive attitude thank you for all off the support I’ve received this year 5 ranking titles, 7 ranking finals 2 major semi finals and many more tournament runs! 2022 been an amazing year for me! Here’s hoping 2023 will be even better."
