"I just can't seem to catch a break at the moment": Humphries left devastated at another European Tour final defeat

Luke Humphries lost out to Rob Cross in the final of the European Darts Grand Prix 8-6 in his fourth final and fourth loss of the season.

Humphries also lost the opportunity to represent England at the World Cup of Darts and was devastated speaking post match.

“It hurts. I’m devastated, but I will bounce back,” said Humphries.

“This is probably one of the toughest defeats of my career. There is no other player who wants to put on that England shirt more than me.

“I just can't seem to catch a break at the moment. I’m trying my best to win these tournaments. There was a lot on the line there and I showed a lot of bottle to give it a good go, but fair play to Rob, it was a fantastic performance from him."
