“I just want to make the top four”- Gerwyn Price sets sights on play-offs as Premier League Darts reaches crunch point

Gerwyn Price can boost his hopes tonight for the Play Offs in this years Premier League, if he can beat Luke Humphries tonight in Birmingham.
Gerwyn Price overcame Luke Humphries in a tight contest to claim his third nightly victory of the campaign in Liverpool last Thursday. Price is now positioned 3rd in the Premier League table. The Welshman has a three point lead over Nathan Aspinall and Michael Van Gerwen, who are positioned 4th and 5th in the table.
Price has said this week, "I just want to make the top four,”. The whole way through this seasons campaign he has kept them words, to him its never been coming top its just making sure he is there for the final and right now it is looking like he will be. “It doesn’t matter if I’m first, second, third or fourth, as long as I’m at The O2 in a few weeks. That’s my priority".
The Welshmen also says, “The win in Liverpool eases the pressure on me going into this week, and when there’s no pressure on me, I’ll play some good darts! When I’m on my game, I am the best in the world. If I play my A-game, nobody will beat me, and I think they know that.” I don't think anyone can say Price is not ready for the next few weeks, he is ready for the fight and that starts tonight when he faces 2nd place Luke Humphries in the Quarter Finals..

Been saying this for ages that something needs doing about crowd behaviour but the PDC don’t really care as long as the pissed up punters flock to Premier League night. The worry for the PDC is that as Littler has gone beyond the darts fan base and is the most high profile player in the world there is the risk that he is bigger than the PDC and then others with more clout (government for example) may start telling them to clean up their act.
