The Premier League Darts stops in Brighton this week. On the sixth night of action, Luke Humphries takes on Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals.
Humphries was a losing finalist at the UK Open last weekend after an 11-10 defeat to Dimitri Van den Bergh. "I was obviously bummed about the loss against Dimitri, but I'm really proud of the way I played this weekend," said Humphries, who is currently ranked sixth in the Premier League table.
"A few weeks ago people said I was not doing well, but I think I proved again that I am one of the best players in the world.
"It's all about learning," Humphries continued. "I'm new at the top, I'm world champion and number one in the world, but I'll keep working hard and hopefully that will pay off in results."
For Humphries, getting to play Premier League Darts is a dream come true. "I've worked incredibly hard to put myself in this position, so I'm not going to throw it all away by putting too much pressure on myself."
