Danny Noppert was a comfortable 6-2 winner over Radek Szaganski in the first round of the
Poland Darts Masters. 'The Freeze' is keen on enjoying every moment after his invitation to the
World Series of Darts event.
"I couldn't find my a-game. But it's something different from playing in front of your home crowd or in Germany. It's a nice experience over here, I like it and of course, I won," Noppert tells Online Darts in a post-match interview.
Playing against a Pole in Poland, Noppert was on the receiving end of some pantomime boos from the raucous, Szaganski-supporting crowd. "They were cheering him hard and for me there was some booing on the doubles," Noppert recaps. "But I want to win every game and this is what I need to learn for next time because I like to play here."
Alongside his appearance in Warsaw, Noppert has also been invited to more World Series of Darts events, something he is very grateful for. "In August I have to go to Australia and New Zealand! It's a nice feeling. I'm really happy to get to go there and I'm happy that the PDC gave me the chance."
"I think I deserve it and maybe also the Premier League. But I like to be here and I'm enjoying every tournament. Whether it's a Pro Tour or a European Tour, I'm enjoying the game a lot."
